[Hong Kong Wen Wei Po Report] Local robotics service pioneer Xlife Robot has officially introduced the world’s first high-value humanoid robot G1, developed by Hangzhou-based Unitree Robotics in China. Named “Bobby,” the robot embodies the philosophy of “democratizing intelligence” to propel Hong Kong into a new era of tech services, aiming to stimulate Hong Kong’s retail and service sectors, revitalize the local economy, and tell a compelling story of Hong Kong. At the press conference held today (May 13), Hong Kong’s first G1 robot, Bobby, met and interacted with artist Lee Lung-kei and several local entrepreneurs.

Developed by Hangzhou Unitree Robotics in China, the Unitree G1 humanoid robot stands approximately 127 centimeters tall and weighs around 35 kilograms. Possessing extraordinary flexibility and unlocking limitless athletic potential, it boasts a trotting speed exceeding 2m/s and a wide range of joint motion with 23 to 43 joint degrees of freedom. With a maximum joint torque of 120 N.m, it can perform high-difficulty dynamic movements such as dynamic standing up, sitting down into a folded posture, and staff-spinning martial arts. Furthermore, powered by deep reinforcement learning and simulation training—and accelerated by the rapid development of the A1—G1 continues to upgrade and evolve, with a starting retail price of 99,000 RMB.。
