[Hong Kong Wen Wei Po Report] The Xlife Robot platform has announced in Hong Kong the official introduction of the G1 humanoid robot (named “Bobby”) developed by mainland-based Unitree Robotics. Adopting a modular design and supporting open API interfaces, the robot is equipped with multi-axis joint motors and deep learning systems, enabling it to perform actions such as backflips and precise grasping. At the press conference, Dr. Yesir Cheng, founder of Xlife Robot, stated that the platform will collaborate with robot manufacturers from the United States, Japan, Europe, and other regions in the future to introduce a wider range of service, industrial, and educational robots. Currently, Bobby has been deployed across retail, catering, and logistics sectors, capable of executing tasks such as shelf restocking, multilingual guided shopping, and meal delivery. Its onboard 3D LiDAR and depth cameras enable autonomous navigation in complex environments.
The press conference featured live demonstrations of Bobby’s diverse application scenarios, including item sorting and interactive performances. Xlife Robot stated that the robot will be made available for lease via a “Robot-as-a-Service” (RaaS) model, while the platform will also provide technical support, secondary development, and maintenance services. Moving forward, plans are underway to expand Bobby’s application scope into education, healthcare, and home services. This introduction received support from Hong Kong’s Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC). Xlife Robot emphasized that it will continue to integrate international advanced robotics technology resources to drive the development of Hong Kong’s robotics application ecosystem.
